Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Ledger is an AI-native profit and loss dashboard designed for small businesses. The service provides automated transaction syncing, financial reporting, document extraction, and business analytics through integrations with third-party platforms.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate business information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

3. Payment Terms

• New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full feature access.
• After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the service.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: attempting to access other users' data, reverse engineering the platform, using the service for illegal activities, or uploading malicious content.

5. Data Accuracy

While Ledger strives to provide accurate financial data, the service relies on third-party integrations and AI-powered extraction which may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of financial reports before making business decisions. Ledger is not a substitute for professional accounting advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledger and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account through the settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless you request an export beforehand.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
